Text 23 Jan Happy Chinese New Year. Year of the Water Dragon!

I’ve been looking forward to the art potential for the year of the water dragon. Here is my first offering on this subject. So many possibilities!

We’re a few sessions in on Mr. M’s piece, I really enjoy making

personal pieces that speak to the here and now of the clients’ life experience. Its as       authentic as it gets.

Wacky Packs, Skateboards, Rat Fink , Motorcycles, Bubble Gum with Monet, the Visual Tattoo Way.

Pretty Tattooing on Ms. K , dogwood and chickadee

Moving along on Mr. B’s Piece.

After ten years of service, our counter gave up on us and refused to  work. The replacement  has been working out quite well. Looks like California, minus LA, Orange, and San Diego counties.

And this weeks traditional exercise. Referenced from a piece of flash made by Ralph Johnstone in the 1950’s. My wife has had a horse for eight years now, and I plan to have one my self one day. With that in mind, this was a fun little flash piece to make.

I enjoy working in the traditional style, but I am seldom asked , due to a lack of interest from the local clientele. If you do like this type of work, consider me for your next piece. Fine line or Hard style.  ’Til next week.

For Ms. A…. Draw it on

Make it happen!

Mr. C’s Fu fighters

I enjoyed making this week’s traditional painting, (my new sunday ritual). This one was sourced from an unknown artist , 1920.

Having a great start this year, a ton of energy  and having a blast with tattooing.

‘Til Next week

Text 8 Jan 2 notes Happy New Year!

Hoping to keep everyone informed of what I’m up to with this blog. Here’s a photo of a new piece I started on a repeat Client. I’m also starting some nice work for his wife as well. I’ll post pictures of her work after her next session.

I’ve made a vow to myself to do a traditional flash painting every Sunday morning this year. Here’s my first offering.                  I referenced this piece from a CJ Eddy piece of flash. Living in Bigfoot country, it seems fitting. I like it local! Speaking of Bigfoot. Years ago I did some big feet in the pattern of the Black Flag bars for local bigfoot  hunter “Bobo”. He’s now on Animal Planet’s  ”Finding Bigfoot”. ‘Til next week
